Trip to Dorothy Clive Garden - May 2022

On 20th May 26 members of the Society visited the Dorothy Clive garden near Market Drayton.

The display of rhododendrons and azaleas was quite splendid and the underplanting very interesting. This was the best time of year to visit as the colours were magnificent.

We were shown round by Catherine, the curator, for about an hour and then had plenty of time to wander on our own before the inevitable visit to the shop.

It was interesting to learn the history of the garden which was constructed by Colonel Clive and is now managed by a charity.
