Queen Elizabeth’s Green Canopy

About a year ago BRHS determined to support Queen Elizabeth’s Green Canopy project, which was part of the upcoming Jubilee celebrations, by planting a tree.

A Sorbus Joseph Rock (A Rowan or otherwise known as a Mountain Ash) was chosen. This is an upright tree giving all round interest with attractive foliage turning purple and orange in the autumn with butter-yellow berries.

The tree was planted in the late autumn 2022 in the park in Rossett in a position agreed with the Community Council and recently, a commemorative plaque was mounted on the tree guard.
