Whether you enjoy growing Chrysanthemums or baking a Victoria sponge, the Burton & Rossett Horticultural Society Annual Show, taking place this year on 26th August, has something for everyone.

From craft to cookery, flowers to juniors, there's a class for you. And you don't have to have exhibited before... Not only is there a dedicated 'Novice' section, you can enter most classes, regardless of your previous experience at showing (some are reserved for Society Members).

It all starts with the Show Schedule. This booklet outlines all of the classes, entry fees, and prize money available. It also details the rules of showing, and provides guidance on how to make sure your exhibits are as good as they can be. Click below to download the Schedule.

When you have chosen which classes you would like to enter, you need complete 'Entry Form', and send it to the Show Secretary with your entry money. See instructions on the form.

 

Timetable for the 2023 Show

This is the overall timetable for the Show:

Mon. 21st August 2023, 5pm -- Deadline for entries

Fri. 25th August 2023, 6.30pm to 9pm -- Staging of exhibits

Sat. 26th August 2023 -- Show Day

  • 7.30am to 9.15am -- Staging of exhibits

  • 9.15am to 12.30pm -- Judging (hall closed to public)

  • 1pm to 4pm -- Hall open to the public

  • 4pm -- Presentation of Awards

  • 5pm -- Show Closes (all exhibits collected)

All entry forms with entry fees should be received by the Show Secretary by 5pm on Monday 21st August 2023. Only minor amendments to an existing entries will be accepted after this time.

Location

The BRHS Annual Show is part of the Rossett Festival taking place at Darland High School, Rossett. The Show, this year, will be based in the Main School Hall.
